SpecificationOnly rectified (redistilled) oil manufactured under Good Manufacturing Practice may be used. The polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAH) benzo[a]pyrene and 1,2-benzanthracene must not exceed 1 ppb (0.0000001 %) in total in the finished product, counted together with any other PAH-bearing material (rectified Cade oil, rectified Birch tar oil, pyrogenic Styrax oil, Opoponax). The crude, unrectified pyrolysate is prohibited.
